Tokybot is the Robot of the Toky Labs family.
He is an expert in navigation and will help you to understand different navigation systems. From Autonomous exploration, to IR detection and Bluetooth remote driving.
In the kit, you can find different sensors and codes to upload to Tokybot.
The assembly includes some laser cut pieces, motors, Arduino, Li-ion battery, power stage and other typical robotic material.

During the activity, we will develop mechanical, electronics and programming skills. All in one!
Since Tokybot is a 3 in 1 robot, the complexity of the course can be highly adapted on demand.
After the assembly and coding of Tokybot, the you can use it as an engaging tool for design thinking activities, gamification and team management activities.

Introduction to Tokybot

Hey, just some lines about what we are building, right?

Tokybot is a robot based on Arduino suitable to learn about navigation systems.  Depending on the model you adquired, it can combine bluetooth, Infrared, Light or ultrasounds to control the navigation. Tokybot is super cool and easy to assemble. Meanwhile you learn how to build it you will have so much fun. It is soldering-free.

Caution, read carefully:

Children must be supervised by an adult while using it. Batteries cannot be kept in warm places or exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures. It contains small components. Be careful! Do not chew, open or manipulate the batteries. Only use for Tokybot motors.

 

What is Arduino?

It is a hardware platform to learn how to code and how to make. You can reprogram the Arduino Nano included driven by your limitless imagination.  It is a tool made by makers for future makers and can be used as a prototype to create new concepts in robotics or electronics.

What is STEAM?

STEAM programs are designed to integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the classroom. These programs aim to teach students to think critically and have an engineering or design approach towards real-world problems while building on their math and science base.

Download the Arduino Platform

Once you have assembled the kit.  You need to set up your computer to code. Go to our Getting Started section to learn how to install the Arduino IDE Software to start programing your Tokybot!

Program!

Now, go to our Downloads section and donwload your favourite code to upload to your Tokybot. Follow the Wechat Official Account and write “password” to get it.
